More Space-themed Knitting Patterns!

My last list of knitting space-y patterns was almost 4 years ago, so after a bit of digging around Ravelry I’ve compiled a new list of space themed patterns. Included are mitts, socks, hats, and a sweater too!

Mass Energy Hat by Inger Berg

You might remember Inger’s spacetime hat from the last post, well it turns out they have a second space hat pattern!

This hat pattern uses fine 4 ply yarn and 2 colour stranded colourwork to create the design. This hat pattern costs 70 NOK, about 7.30 USD.

Sweet Moon by Grace Lidinsky-Smith

Sweet Moon is a mitts pattern featuring a stunning Moon design on both hands.

It uses 4ply and creates a slightly small size, I’d recommend using sport or DK weight yarn and increasing the gauge for larger sizes.

Moonlight Magic by Jacquline Rivera

These stunning mitts are inspired by the mythical and magical Moon!

Made using stranded colourwork and 4 ply yarn, this pattern is best for those experienced in colourwork.

The pattern for these mitts cost 6 USD and comes with a chart.

Astraeus Sweater by Meghan Regan

Here’s a nice challenge for you! The Astraeus sweater has a beautiful moon and stars pattern all around the yoke, and an optional cowl pattern to complement the sweater!

It also has beadwork, so this might not be the most beginner friendly pattern, but something to definitely bookmark and come back to later!

Astraeus is a DK sweater and costs 9 USD. A child’s version, Moonbeam, is also available for 4 USD.

Sun Moon Socks by S J Griffin

Another awesome free pattern, this time socks! These socks have a lovely star, moon and sun motif that runs along the cuff, with a simple foot and decorated toe.
